at outdoor group show "Das Künstlerhaus Flaniert" Karlshöhe Stuttgart 2018

"Longing" is an audio installation dealing with the

ephemeral and states of presence and absence

in space. Lyrical text fragments were applied on silken

fabric in the form of handmade prints and then

attached to a custom made wind machine column.

In a constant motion of air, the silken pieces of

fabric are kept in a dynamic state that relates to the

devotional vocals audio coming from the inside of

the column. The piece was developped in a site-specific

approach involving an outdoor vocal session creating

the installation audio.

The piece was first shown at outdoor group show

"Das Künstlerhaus Flaniert" at Karlshöhe

Stuttgart on July 7th 2018.
